PixelHobby Designer Lite is a software program
created by Hobbyware, Inc. They are also the exclusive distributor of the
PixelHobby product line for North America.
Their software program allows you to make your
own Pixelhobby patterns from your favourite photographs or images.
The software automatically converts your
pictures into a Pixelhobby Design. You can then edit the design to your
liking by cropping the image, adjusting colours etc. Generally close up
portraits work best, and some images will not convert well, while others
will look great with a little bit of editing.
If you download our free version of the software
below, once you are happy with your design you can click on order and then
click on email order and your order for Pixelhobby Supplies will open up
automatically in an email for you. Just add your name and contact details
and send your email to us. Within a day we will email an invoice back to you
with a quote and payment details.
Alternatively you can print
your pattern and parts list. The parts list contains a listing of the pixels
and baseplates required to complete the design.
You can then go our
Pixelhobby Supplies page and order your
baseplates and pixels online. Please note when printing your own designs you
will need to set the printer paper size at letter (8.5in x 11in) instead of
A4 in Australia if you wish to have 4 design rectangles on an A4 page, this
will save printing and paper costs for you.
If you are a Designer and you want to create
designs and need the flexibility of drawing designs from scratch or
touching-up imported designs, then you may wish to purchase the
Pattern Maker
software from Hobbyware. This is the software I use to create
my Pixelhobby and cross stitch designs and I highly recommend it for serious
designers. You create designs in Pattern Maker using the Pixelhobby colours
and save the pattern as a .phd file and then open it up in the Pixelhobby
Designer Lite program to view and print.
